Ai Goldsmith - Flute

Ms. Ai Goldsmith is an active professional concert flutist with 16+ years of teaching experience.  While her strengths as an instructor are most evident in working with intermediate-advanced students, Ms. Goldsmith works well with beginners and will accept a limited number of focused beginning flutists per each school year.

Bob Belanski - Drums

Bob Belanski is a versatile musician with extensive experience in a variety of styles. Students will learn Rock, Jazz, Big Band, Latin, Hip-Hop, Funk, and traditional classical styles. Having apprenticed with James Sewrey (a founding member of the Percussive Arts Society), Bob is an expert in rudiments and technical snare performance. He stresses the importance of proper technique, reading music, and developing a deep groove across several musical mediums.  

For fans of Peanuts and Charlie Brown, Bob is the drummer on Vince Guaraldi's album: Charlie Brown Suite and Other Favorites.

Brian Moran - Guitar, Brazilian Mandolin & Cavaquino, Beginning Piano, Music Theory, Harmony, Ear-Training

Brian is a graduate of Berklee School of Music (1998, B.M., Magna Cum Laude), and has been playing guitar since 1987. He teaches Classical, Jazz, Latin and Contemporary styles (both pick style and fingerstyle), and has been teaching professionally since 1998. Brian's approach to teaching focuses on a fun and positive environment, mixing fundamentals of technique and musicianship with the study of songs that students participate in choosing as a way of demonstrating key musical ideas while putting the music in a context that students best relate to.

Ken Moran - Sax, Clarinet, Flute

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ken Moran grew up in a very musical environment and studied with many renowned saxophonists in the area.  Ken began playing saxophone in elementary school and soon discovered his love for Jazz and music around age 12.  Ken was recognized for his musical talent at a young age, winning numerous awards in high school like the Woody Herman Jazz Award and Outstanding Musicianship at the Reno Jazz Festival every year from 1998-2002

I have 44 years of drumming experience, most as a professional. I love playing, but my passion is teaching others which I have been doing for the past 25 years. I am great with kids, and I have taught many adults. I have numerous students who developed into pro drummers.
