Gerri Alexander graduated from Indiana University. She has also studied at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University with Madame Else Stockman of the Liszt Conservatory. On the West Coast, she has coached with Adolph Baller at Stanford University and Julian White at Berkeley. Ms. Alexander gives duo and solo performances, in addition to playing with the Alexander Piano Trio, which she started in 2001.

Hera Herawaty - PIANO

Hera earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Santa Clara University. As an undergraduate student she was awarded a music scholarship, received the Senior Award for Artistry Achievement, and graduated cum laude. At SCU, she worked with the department chair, Professor Hans Boepple. Hera continued her studies and earned a Master of Arts degree at San Jose State University, studying with Professor Gwendolyn Mok.

Emily is a dedicated music educator and pianist, currently advancing her studies as a Master of Music candidate in Piano Performance at San Francisco State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Music from the University of Oregon, where she nurtured her passion for both performance and pedagogy studies. Emily has had the privilege of studying under esteemed pedagogues and pianists, including Dr. Claire Wachter, Dr. William Wellborn, and Dr. Dale Tsang, whose guidance has been influential in shaping the development of her teaching approach that is both fun and engaging for students of all levels and ages.

Emily’s teaching philosophy centers on the belief that each student’s musical journey is unique. She is dedicated to tailoring her lessons to meet the individual needs and interests of her students, fostering a learning environment that is both supportive and challenging. Emily believes that music is a gift that can bring immense joy to our lives, and she strives to instill this sense of joy in her students.

Theresa Woo’s teaching philosophy and methods have been influenced greatly by inspiring mentors including Yo-Wen Liang, James Stern, Ronda Cole, David Salness, Arnold Steinhardt, Naoko Tanaka, Suli Xue and Alice Schoenfeld.  Dr. Woo received a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Southern California, a Master in Music in Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Bachelor in Music degree from the University of the Pacific.

Brian Moran - Guitar

Brian is a graduate of Berklee School of Music (1998, B.M., Magna Cum Laude), and has been playing guitar since 1987. He teaches Classical, Jazz, Latin and Contemporary styles (both pick style and fingerstyle), and has been teaching professionally since 1998.

Brian's approach to teaching focuses on a fun and positive environment, mixing fundamentals of technique and musicianship with the study of songs that students participate in choosing as a way of demonstrating key musical ideas while putting the music in a context that students best relate to.
