Gerri Alexander graduated from Indiana University. She has also studied at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University with Madame Else Stockman of the Liszt Conservatory. On the West Coast, she has coached with Adolph Baller at Stanford University and Julian White at Berkeley. Ms. Alexander gives duo and solo performances, in addition to playing with the Alexander Piano Trio, which she started in 2001.

Hera Herawaty - PIANO

Hera earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Santa Clara University. As an undergraduate student she was awarded a music scholarship, received the Senior Award for Artistry Achievement, and graduated cum laude. At SCU, she worked with the department chair, Professor Hans Boepple. Hera continued her studies and earned a Master of Arts degree at San Jose State University, studying with Professor Gwendolyn Mok.

Miranda Shum - Piano

Miranda is a recent graduate of the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. During her time there, she studied with Dr. Craig Nies as a Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholar. Miranda began her musical endeavors on piano at age six and on flute at age ten. A multifaceted musician, Miranda has participated in an international music festival, won numerous competitions, qualified for various honor bands, and toured Spain with her youth orchestra. In 2018, she won the Vanderbilt Concerto Competition and made her solo orchestral debut playing the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major. The same year, her piano quintet received first place in the MTNA National Chamber Music Competition. Miranda also enjoys performing outreach concerts at senior centers and playing music in hospitals.

Theresa Woo, D.M.A. - VIOLIN

Theresa Woo’s teaching philosophy and methods have been influenced greatly by inspiring mentors including Yo-Wen Liang, James Stern, Ronda Cole, David Salness, Arnold Steinhardt, Naoko Tanaka, Suli Xue and Alice Schoenfeld.  Dr. Woo received a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Southern California, a Master in Music in Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Bachelor in Music degree from the University of the Pacific.

Brian Moran - Guitar

Brian is a graduate of Berklee School of Music (1998, B.M., Magna Cum Laude), and has been playing guitar since 1987. He teaches Classical, Jazz, Latin and Contemporary styles (both pick style and fingerstyle), and has been teaching professionally since 1998.

Brian's approach to teaching focuses on a fun and positive environment, mixing fundamentals of technique and musicianship with the study of songs that students participate in choosing as a way of demonstrating key musical ideas while putting the music in a context that students best relate to.
